The Sartorialist Posts a Dallas Chick

Just thought I should re-blog this occurrence. As part of his new book tour, fashion blogger Scott Schuman from The Sartorialist, did a book signing in my hometown of Dallas, TX. I'm crossing my fingers he'll make plans soon for Boston...

Diet Coke Pop

Part of Diet Cokes new Live Tastefully campaign involves actual Diet Coke Pop-Up Kitchens, or lounges, that serve you a free Diet Coke and samples of food that they promise goes well with the drink. Get your picture taken with a huge Diet Coke bottle, sample the foods, and browse the web at Boston's Diet Coke Lounge on 144 Tremont, 11am-3pm, till Nov 1st. The idea is innovative, but will you really replace a glass of wine at dinner with a soda pop? Probably not.

Eternal Summers

We're well into autumn but that doesn't mean you can't be nostalgic. Eternal Summers is a guitar/drummer duo with Nicole Yun's reverbed vocals. Catchy garage pop rock. I think of a dreamier, slower version of Deerhoof, but maybe that's just because she's Asian.
Check them out, listen to the track 'I Must Winter': http://www.myspace.com/eternalsummers

Paint Palettes

Surprisingly enough, my room mate and I only chose one color out of three that was named after a food, Perfect Peach. Above is Polar White, the other is Ivory Tower. The only reason I would want to paint my room pink because it's called Sweet Melon.

Side note, I would like to be Leeloo for Halloween, but someone please tell me where you can buy orange plastic suspender type things...
